Potential Adoptive Parents, please understand the following state requirements:
- Upfront fees at the time of applying include application fee and match fee; the rest is due at the time of match
- No gender preference
- Infant adoption only, no older children
- No foster care
- Must have a completed/approved Home Study to apply for Adoption
- Must be U.S. citizens
- All people ages 1 and older in the home require annual physical and TB
- All people in the home ages 14 and older must be fingerprinted in TX
- Any caregiver in the home to babysit or nanny must be fingerprinted in TX
- No birth certificate or social security card given until after finalization
- Passports are not issued until the child is legally yours (after finalization and birth certificate and social security card are received)
