Adoption Choices of Texas Post-Placement

In the period after you return home with your bundle of joy, there are two more things you will need to stay on top of: Post-placement supervision and post-adoption communication with the birth family.

Post-Placement Supervision

For any adoption that Adoption Choices of Texas does, there will be a six-month post-placement period. In this time, you will need to have five contacts with your social worker – which should be roughly one month apart. The social worker will send us a report for each contact and once we have all of them we will sign a consent for you to finalize the adoption. Our staff is happy to provide more information about this part of the post-placement period.

Post-Adoption Communication

We utilize a post-adoption communication service that will allow you to have online contact with the birth family through pictures and letters. You and the birth family each get a login that ensures mutual access to the post-adoption contact for as long as you want. If you are already using our post-placement contact service you can click here to log in.

If you are already using our adoptive parent profile program you can log in here:
